What is popsarap?

Popsarap merges “pop” with sarap, the Filipino word for “delicious.”

We create small-batch popcorn made to be shared and hard to forget. Each flavor is crafted with real, thoughtfully chosen ingredients, including 100% coconut oil and non-GMO kernels, bringing bold, nostalgic taste to the middle of the table. Our popcorn lineup includes timeless classics, seasonal specials, and our inventive, signature flavors.

Where It All Began

I was raised in a Filipino-American household in New York, where calamansi, lumpia, mani, cornick, turon, and ube were always within reach. Those flavors shaped my love of food and my connection to home.

Years after studying abroad in the Philippines and moving out on my own, I found myself longing for that connection again. I rediscovered it slowly through Filipino films and meals that reminded me that food has always been how my family says, "I love you".

One afternoon, somewhere between the opening credits and a half-eaten bowl of popcorn, the idea arrived fully formed and impossible to ignore: what if the flavors I grew up loving could live in every handful?

That's how Popsarap was born! To me, popcorn is pasalubong — the gift you bring home, the treat you pass around, the thing that says I was thinking of you. A party favor, a movie snack, a corporate gift, a reason to gather. Every flavor is crafted to carry that same warmth, no matter the occasion.

Our Inspiration

Popsarap is inspired by the Filipino street vendor — small batches, a portable cart, and the familiar call of "hopia, mani, popcorn" that brought the whole block to a stop. It was never just a transaction. It was a gathering. A pause in the day. A handful shared with whoever happened to be nearby.

That spirit of warmth and community is what Popsarap is built on. We ship nationwide and seal every bag for freshness, but the feeling inside is the same: something worth pausing for, passing around, and enjoying together.
